Party on, excellent...

Today Fred and I went down to San Diego to see Dr. Wade Wong (party on, excellent). The drive was very nice and we enjoyed looking at the blue ocean on the way down. Very beautiful. Even though we left late, we got there early (speeder) and we ate at Itto Sushi across from UCSD Medical Center. Super yummy. I'm so glad to eat fish again now that I don't have mercury poisoning! GEEZ, I love sushi. UCSD is great. I wish it wasn't so far away. I think we'll try UCLA next. I loved how they took care of my MIL when she had that aneurysm. Still far away, though. But not as far as Honolulu from Hilo. So that will be the last time I complain about that, for heaven's sake. Dr. Wong was great. He's a neuro-radiologist who teaches doctors. He was only interested in giving us a second opinion, but he did and agreed with Dr. No Good that it probably is MS, but here's the important thing he said, you've already hear me say this and I'm sorry it took you so long to get here: He said that, sure, it really, really appears to be MS (he said there were a couple of big lesions [scleroses], including one on my neck and a number of small ones and “blooming” ones) and that the MRI scans make it pretty positive, but no doctor, none, should just go by that. The medical community says that an MRI is always followed by a lumbar puncture when MS is suspected. Then we went to Aunt Jo and Uncle Tommy’s house for lamb stew which was amazing. Debbie and the baby (who laughed and smiled for hours and is the cutest baby) were there, Aunt Betty Ruth and Steve and Pam. It was a fun night.

Good doctors are such good people and so wonderful in your life even if they cannot cure everything. I think they make us feel less lost in our problems.

So happy to hear that you are out and about and enjoying good food again.
