Dogs

You knew I was going to talk about the dogs. You also know how many photos I have of them, so it's not like I can't share. You can click on any of these pictures to see a larger version. This is Daisy. She's the newest addition to the family. She is so wonderful. I've forgotten how hard it is to train a dog, but obviously her looks get her out of a lot of trouble. She's been so good about staying in the yard, but it's time for me to get her to stay 100 percent of the time. We went and got her a little earlier than we wanted to because Billy was so lonely without Butch. We all were. It kind of felt like we were "replacing" Butch, but Billy had such a broken heart that it was the right thing to do. This is when we first brought Daisy home. She has made a serious effort to never ever poop on the grass. She only wants to go on the bricks. She's so little in this picture. I'll try to take the same picture in a few months to see how she's grown. This is Butch and Billy. Check out the look on Billy's face. That's how he is. Not quite as easygoing as Butch was. Love to go in the car, though. Butch always kept his head in because Billy can operate the electric windows and many times started to roll the window up on Butch's head. I always kept the windows locked if the were in the back after a while. They weren't actually posing for this picture, but it sure looks like they were. We lost count of Butch's age, which turned out to be 9. We've always thought of him young, because he never lost that soft puppy fur. He did get white hairs on his black face, but we didn't notice. So when Sandy at the vet said he was 9, I was shocked. Butch taught Billy almost everything, seriously, except how to jump on the barstools. He did that himself. Now if we could only get Bill to teach Daisy what to do.....
